Our Story
Ours is a story over 30 years in the making... born from a deep-rooted love of history and a passion for home brewing.
Inspired by ancient recipes and the rich heritage of Wessex, we craft small-batch artisan meads that honour tradition while embracing bold experimentation.
Every bottle we produce is a tribute to the Saxon spirit and the timeless joy of mead.
Our Meadery is as much about storytelling as it is about flavour - bringing the past to life, one sip at a time.
The Saxnōt
The Saxnōt (or Seaxnēat, Saxnot) is said to be the patron deity and progenitor of the Saxons and, as a couple of relatively old West Saxons, brewing Mead in the heart of the ancient kingdom of Wessex, we thought currying favour with a deity was a very sensible move.
